Air Fryer Donuts Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Form Donuts: Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the air fryer basket in the shape of donuts.
  6. Air Fry: Air fry the donuts for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Prepare the Glaze: While the donuts are cooking, mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  8. Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are done, dip them into the glaze, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious air fryer donuts!
