🧾 Ingredients

For the Muffins:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

🧁 Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined (do not overmix).
  6. Fill Muffin Tin: Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
    • While muffins are warm, dip each one in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.

  • Serve warm for the best taste.
  • You can add a dash of nutmeg for a classic donut flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2–3 days.
