🔥 Instructions (Air Fryer)
1. Season the Beef
Rub the roast with:
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Paprika
Let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
2. Sear the Roast
If your air fryer allows searing:
- Preheat to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
- Add a little olive oil and air fry 5 minutes per side until brown.
(If your air fryer doesn’t sear, brown the beef in a pan on the stovetop.)
3. Add Vegetables
Place the onions, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the air-fryer basket or tray.
Put the roast on top.
4. Add Liquids
Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around the meat.
5. Slow-Cook Mode
If your air fryer has Slow Cook mode:
- Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours, or
- HIGH for 3–4 hours
If it has only Roast mode:
Roast at 150–160°C (300–315°F) for 2.5–3 hours, flipping halfway and checking tenderness.
→ Beef is ready when it easily falls apart with a fork.
🍲 Make the Gravy
- Remove the roast and vegetables.
- Pour the liquid from the air fryer into a saucepan.
- Mix cornstarch + water and whisk into the broth.
- Cook 3–5 minutes until thick.
- Add salt & pepper if needed.
🍽️ Serve
Slice or shred the beef, pour gravy over top, and serve with the tender veggies.
✔️ Tips for Best Results
- Chuck roast gives the best tenderness.
- Browning before roasting improves flavor.
- Add mushrooms for extra richness.
- Add 1 tsp balsamic vinegar for deeper gravy flavor.
