Air Fryer Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Air Fryer and Pan
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Lightly grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment paper if needed to fit in your air fryer basket. (Many air fryers can fit a 6-inch pan.) - Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Stir until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. - Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. - Add Optional Mix-Ins
If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips. - Pour into Loaf Pan
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. - Bake in the Air Fryer
Place the loaf pan in the air fryer basket. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If needed, add a few extra minutes to ensure it’s fully baked. - Cool and Serve
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Tips
- Add Extra Flavor: Try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a dash of nutmeg for extra warmth.
- Test Doneness: Because air fryers vary, check on the bread starting at 25 minutes, adding time as needed.
- Storage: Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
Enjoy your delicious, warm air fryer banana bread!
