  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk or yogurt (optional for moisture)
  • 1 tsp orange blossom water (optional for flavor)
  • Sesame seeds or slivered almonds (for topping)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Air Fryer and Pan:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Grease an air fryer-safe cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:

  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. Whisk the Wet Ingredients:

  1. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the oil, vanilla extract, and orange blossom water (if using). Mix well.

4. Combine the Batter:

  1. Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  2. Add milk or yogurt to achieve a smooth batter consistency.

5. Pour the Batter:

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  2. Sprinkle sesame seeds or slivered almonds on top for garnish.

6. Bake in the Air Fryer:

  1. Place the pan in the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  3. If the top browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil and continue baking.

7. Cool and Serve:

  1. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
  2. Slice and serve as a snack or dessert.

  • Use parchment paper to make removing the cake easier.
  • Adjust the sweetness or flavoring (like orange blossom water) to your taste.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
