  1. Make the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, mix warm water and sugar until dissolved.
    • Add instant yeast and let it sit for 3–5 minutes until foamy.
    • Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
    • Knead by hand or with a stand mixer for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First Rise:
    • Form dough into a ball, place in a lightly oiled bowl, and cover with a towel or plastic wrap.
    • Let it rise in a warm place for 45–60 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Shape:
    • Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oval loaf that fits your air fryer basket.
    • Place on parchment paper for easier lifting.
  4. Second Rise:
    • Let the shaped dough rest for another 20 minutes, covered.
  5. Air Fry:
    • Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C) if your model requires preheating.
    • Carefully place dough (with parchment) in the air fryer basket.
    • Brush top lightly with olive oil and add toppings if desired.
  6. Bake:
    • Air fry at 330°F (165°C) for 15–18 minutes, or until bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Cool:
    • Remove bread and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
