🍳 Air Fryer Poached Egg on Toast

💡 Crispy toast + soft, runny egg = breakfast perfection in under 10 minutes!


📝 Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or your favorite)
  • 1 tsp butter or olive oil (optional, for the bread)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: avocado, chili flakes, feta, herbs

🍳 How to Make It:

🥚 Poach the Egg in the Air Fryer:

Option 1: Using a ramekin

  1. Lightly grease a small oven-safe ramekin or silicone muffin cup.
  2. Crack the egg into it and add 1 tablespoon of water.
  3. Carefully place it in the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry at 340°F (170°C) for 6–7 minutes for soft poached, or longer if you prefer it firmer.
  5. Gently remove with a spoon.

🍞 Toast the Bread:

  1. While the egg cooks, toast the bread in the air fryer at 380°F (193°C) for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  2. Butter it if desired.

🍽️ Assemble:

  • Place poached egg on toast.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and your favorite toppings (like avocado slices, chili oil, or microgreens).

✅ Tips:

  • For runny yolk, stick to 6 minutes.
  • You can poach 2 eggs at once if you have enough ramekins.
  • Want extra protein? Add a slice of turkey or smoked salmon under the egg.
