    Ingredients

    Custard Layer

    • 3 cups milk

    • 3 tablespoons custard powder (vanilla flavored)

    • 4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for extra richness)

    Biscuit Crumble Topping

    • 1½ cups plain tea biscuits or digestive biscuits, crushed

    • 4 tablespoons melted butter


    Instructions

    Prepare the Custard

    1. In a small bowl, mix custard powder with ½ cup cold milk until smooth and lump-free.

    2. Heat remaining milk in a saucepan over medium heat.

    3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

    4. Slowly add the custard mixture, stirring constantly.

    5. Cook until thick, creamy, and glossy.

    6. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and butter.

    Prepare the Biscuit Crumble

    1. Combine crushed biscuits and melted butter in a bowl.

    2. Mix until evenly coated and crumbly.

    Assemble the Dessert

    1. Pour hot custard into a glass or ceramic serving dish.

    2. Smooth the surface with a spatula.

    3. Sprinkle biscuit crumble evenly over the custard.

    4. Gently press the topping with the back of a spoon.

    Chill

    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.

    • Scoop and serve chilled.


    Notes

    • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the biscuit crumbs.

    • Use Marie biscuits, digestive biscuits, or graham crackers.

    • Can be layered in individual cups for serving.

    • Chocolate custard works beautifully as a variation.

    • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

    • Best served well chilled.
