Instructions:

  1. Prepare the chicken wings:
    • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This will help them get crispy.
    • If they are whole wings, separate the drumettes and flats. You can skip this step if you prefer to keep them whole.
  2. Season the wings:
    • In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Toss the wings in the seasoning mixture until they are well-coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Air fry the wings:
    • Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, work in batches so that the wings cook evenly.
    • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes. Halfway through, shake the basket or flip the wings to ensure they cook evenly and get crispy on all sides.
  5. Prepare the lemon glaze:
    • While the wings are cooking, in a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey (if using). Stir well to combine.
  6. Finish the wings:
    • Once the wings are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.
    • Immediately toss the hot wings in the lemon glaze, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
  7. Garnish and serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce if desired.

Tips for Beginners:

  • Make sure to shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure an even crisp.
  • If you like extra crispy wings, cook them for an additional 5 minutes, but keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  • If you don’t have lemon zest, you can skip it or substitute with a bit more lemon juice.
