🥔 Hands Down, The Best Ever Baked Potato Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Russet potatoes (scrubbed and dried)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • Sea salt (coarse or flaky)

Optional Toppings:

  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chives or green onions
  • Butter
  • Bacon bits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Poke holes in each potato with a fork (6–8 times all around).
  3. Rub each potato with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle generously with salt all over the skin.
  5. Place directly on the oven rack (you can place a tray underneath to catch drips).
  6. Bake for 45–60 minutes until the skin is crisp and the inside is soft (you can test with a knife or skewer).
  7. Remove from the oven, slice open, fluff with a fork, and add your favorite toppings!

This method gives you that crispy skin and fluffy interior — better than any restaurant version!
