Steak & Cheese Quesadillas

Here’s a simple and tasty Steak & Cheese Quesadillas recipe for you:


Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 250g (8 oz) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • Sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the steak
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season steak with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook for 3–4 minutes until browned but still juicy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté vegetables (optional)
    • In the same skillet, cook onions (and bell peppers if using) for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Assemble quesadillas
    • Lay one tortilla in the skillet (over medium heat).
    • Sprinkle half the cheese over it, then add steak and vegetables.
    • Add the rest of the cheese, then top with a second tortilla.
  4. Cook until golden
    • Press gently with a spatula and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve
    • Slice into wedges and serve hot with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
